Copper is a gentle old soul with the sweetest eyes and the kindest heart. We believe he may be a Beagle and Lab mix, though whatever his mix may be, it created one incredibly lovable companion.

Like a true southern gentleman, Copper can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, all he wants is love, sunshine, and a cozy place to nap. His favorite thing in the world is stretching out in the sun and enjoying the simple comforts of life.

Copper is easygoing, calm, and happiest just being near his people. Whether he is lounging around the house, soaking up affection, or quietly relaxing beside you, he has the kind of peaceful presence that makes a home feel warmer.

Copper is currently heartworm positive, but treatment will be started soon and all treatment costs will be fully covered. Heartworms are not contagious, and we are very hopeful for his recovery. More than anything, Copper deserves a family who will look beyond his diagnosis and see the beautiful, loving soul he truly is.

Copper would do best with:
• A calm, loving home
• A family looking for a gentle, low key companion
• A home with another dog or as the center of attention

Copper still has so much love and life left to give. He is ready for a peaceful forever home where he can finally feel safe, cherished, and deeply loved.
