Demi is a gentle sweetheart who is just beginning her fresh start, and she is making beautiful progress every single day. She has clearly been through a lot in her life, including having puppies of her own, but what shines through most is how much love she still has to give.

From day one in her foster home, Demi settled right in and made it clear that she is a world class cuddler. Her favorite place is curled up close at bedtime, and she is happiest when she can be near her people. She is affectionate, warm, and deeply bonded once she feels safe.

Demi is playful and does well with respectful dogs. She communicates her boundaries appropriately and enjoys active play followed by calm downtime. She is especially fond of playing with her foster brother and then relaxing side by side afterward. She is crate trained and uses her crate as a safe, comforting space.

She is mostly potty trained and does very well when kept on a consistent schedule. Like many dogs adjusting to a new environment, she may still have the occasional accident while learning routines, but she continues to improve and understands that outside is where she should go. Demi is smart, gentle when corrected, and responds beautifully to patience and kindness.

Demi would do best with:
• A patient, loving home that will continue building her confidence
• Respectful dog companions with monitored introductions
• Being fed separately from other pets for now

Demi did not get the easy start she deserved, but her future is incredibly bright. She is affectionate, playful, and full of love, just waiting for the right person or family to help her fully blossom.
