Meredith is the definition of a gentle soul. She came to us from a high-kill shelter alongside her tiny Chihuahua friend. While the Chihuahua quickly found a home, Meredith was left behind, patiently waiting for someone to see just how special she truly is.

At around 55 pounds, Meredith is a calm, loving girl who simply wants to be close to her people. She can be a little shy at first, especially around new dogs, but after a day or two to settle in, her sweet, affectionate personality begins to shine. She is currently working through some separation anxiety, but as she becomes more comfortable and learns she is safe, we know she'll continue to gain confidence.

Meredith is making great progress with potty training and has an easygoing personality. She would be perfectly content spending her days relaxing by your side, whether that's during movie nights, quiet afternoons, or simply following you around the house.

She currently has some skin allergies, but they don't seem to bother her much. With quality food, proper care, and lots of love, we expect her skin to continue improving beautifully.

Meredith would do best with:
• A patient family who will help her build confidence
• A calm home where she can continue working through her separation anxiety
• Other dogs with slow, proper introductions or as your one-and-only companion

Meredith has waited far too long for a family to choose her. She is spayed, up to date on her veterinary care, and ready to give her whole heart to someone willing to give her the second chance she deserves.
